SPEAKER: Sean Boyer

Sean Boyer has worked in the field of construction and more specifically in estimating and construction economics for over 25 years. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering from the École de technologie supérieure du Québec (ÉTS) and a college diploma in civil engineering technology from the Cégep de Joliette.

He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and a member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (ICEC) as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.

Sean Boyer holds the position of Director of preconstruction buildings division at Pomerleau. As part of his functions, he leads the estimation teams, supervises the research and development of the various technologies related to estimation, is responsible for estimation statistics and oversees the historical construction costs data collection. In the past couple of years, he has become a reference in the field of monitoring inflation in construction. He is also the author of the quarterly Market Trends reports produced by Pomerleau.
