PANELIST: Gordon Bourque

Gordon Bourque is a Business Development Director at Johnson Controls in the Public Private Partnership/Sustainable Infrastructure group. Gordon leverages the experience and expertise of the Johnson Controls organization to develop operating solutions for infrastructure with a focus on carbon reduction and sustainability.

Gordon began his career in building and facility operations managing complex facilities including mixed use commercial, retail, residential and industrial. He was responsible for establishing and managing the maintenance and project teams at one of Ontario’s first commercial Casinos and continued his career leading a team that managed a portfolio of over 1,500 Ontario Government buildings in the Province of Ontario.

Since 2006, Gordon has been involved in the development of bids for over 25 major infrastructure projects in North America including Hospitals, Schools, Courthouses, Universities, Transportation Maintenance facilities, Highway Lighting and Administration facilities. His experience in operating and maintaining facilities helped him develop operating solutions in various markets including North America, Europe, South America, Oceania, the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa.

Gordon’s most recent mandate with Johnson Control’s is to help clients develop and execute carbon reduction initiatives through technical, operational and contractual solutions. These solutions to achieve carbon reduction, and ultimately net zero, include an organized and coordinated approach balancing efficiency, electrification, on-site generation and carbon offsets.
