Description

GLT+ est à la recherche d’un chef estimateur pour le service d’Économie de la construction et Estimation ayant une expertise en électromécanique ainsi qu’une connaissance en architecture et structure du bâtiment.

Sous le directeur du service, le chef estimateur est un expert, responsable de l’estimation du contrôle qualité des livrables et le lien avec les chargés de projets et les coordonnateurs BIM. Le candidat idéal devra être en mesure de gérer et d’encadrer l’équipe d’estimation ainsi que de valider les documents et livrables aux clients tant internes qu’externes. Il veille à l’exécution des estimations, assume la gestion des livrables et de l’échéancier, évalue de façon périodique et systématique l’avancement des activités d’estimation en termes techniques et en qualité tout en respectant les modes de présentation normés tels que Uniformat, MasterFormat et OmmiClass.

Rôles et responsabilités

  • Établir le plan d’action des livrables mensuellement et en faire une projection du carnet de commandes.
  • Traiter l’information technique pour assister le directeur dans ses fonctions.
  • Préparer des revues de soumissions et assurer la conformité des documents d’estimation transmis au client.
  • Préparer et valider l’estimation des coûts sur les travaux des différentes spécialisés.
  • Coordonner les divers intervenants.
  • Préparer l’estimation de coûts sur les travaux conceptuels, de conception-construction et des appels d’offres.
  • Vérifier les spécifications des appels d’offres et des plans et devis afin de déterminer l’étendue des travaux ainsi que les détails des estimations.
  • Effectuer les relevés de quantités préliminaires et détaillés des plans et des spécifications.
  • Préparer les documents et les bordereaux pour les appels d’offres construction.
  • Analyser les appels d’offres des sous-traitants et faire des recommandations.
  • Analyser les options de conception et recommander les meilleures solutions basées sur le coût, la qualité technique ou la disponibilité des matériaux.
  • Préparer et fermer les dossiers d’estimation pour le transfert au chargé de projets.

Aptitudes et compétences

  • Fortes aptitudes mathématiques et bonnes connaissances des normes de l’industrie, des codes de bâtiments, des réglementations municipales et des matériaux de construction.
  • Connaissances des prix unitaires du marché.
  • Fortes aptitudes informatiques et maîtrise du tableur Excel.
  • Excellente compétence en gestion et mobilisation d’équipe, en gestion du temps et des priorités.
  • Excellentes aptitudes interpersonnelles et de communication.
  • Excellente capacité d'analyse, être ordonné et avoir une bonne capacité à travailler sous pression.
  • Capacité à travailler avec un minimum de supervision et en équipe.
  • Le bilinguisme (français, anglais) est souhaitable.

Éducation et expérience

  • Détenteur d’un diplôme collégial ou universitaire ou expérience équivalente.
  • Certification à titre d’estimateur certifié ou économiste en construction agréé (un atout)
  • Un minimum de plus de 10 ans d’expérience en estimation.

Information complémentaire

Horaire de travail : 7h45 à 17h du lundi au jeudi et de 7h45 à 12h le vendredi.

Sous la responsabilité du vice-président, vous serez appelé à préparer des estimations budgétaires et forfaitaires pour des projets industriels en Design-Construction et à octroyer les sous-contrats des projets obtenus.

Rôles et responsabilités

Vos principales responsabilités seront les suivantes:

  • Préparer des listes exhaustives de travaux à effectuer pour chaque spécialité;
  • Élaborer les détails de construction en collaboration avec les professionnels;
  • Faire les invitations à soumissionner aux sous-traitants et répondre à leurs questions pour obtenir plusieurs soumissions complètes pour chaque spécialité;
  • Préparer les échéanciers préliminaires avec MS Project;
  • Fermer la soumission en compagnie de la direction en ayant en main toutes les informations pertinentes;
  • Négociation et achat des sous-contrats selon les priorités établies en fonction des délais de livraison;
  • Aller en appel d’offres pour chaque spécialité;
  • Préparer les listes de travaux et négocier les sous-contrats;
  • Assister les gérants de projet en cours de réalisation pour obtenir les prix de changements demandés par le client.

Aptitudes et compétences

  • Excellente connaissance d'Excel et de la suite Office
  • Bonne connaissance du logiciel MS Project
  • Anglais intermédiaire
  • Organisé, autonome, efficace et précis

Éducation et expérience

  • Diplômé en techniques de l'architecture ou de génie civil (DEC)

  • Jump in and collaboratively complete the full-cycle bid process;

Cost Consultants:

  • Quantification of materials using BTY’s measurement software to prepare cost estimates in accordance with the CIQS Rules of Measurement
  • Understands unit rates, general conditions and pricing estimates
  • Prepare front-end cost reports to support cost estimates
  • Provide pro-active cost management advise and ensure the Clients understand the content of our reports

  • Attend periodic site inspections

Overview / Job Summary

Turner & Townsend Canada is GROWING! We are looking to hire a Senior Cost Consultant-Lender Services to be part of a team in Ottawa. This role reports to an Associate Director and to assist the Director and Associate Directors within the Lenders Services department, taking responsibility for start to end service delivery. To ensure that Client objectives are met through the delivery of an effective cost monitoring service. The Senior Cost Consultant will handle commissions of varying size and complexity.

Roles and Responsibilities

Commission Management, to include:

  • Preparing Loan Monitoring reports for all asset classes related to real estate throughout Ontario
  • Interfacing with the Client and other consultants, at all project stages
  • Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data

Marketing and Business Development, to include:

  • Assisting Directors and Associate Directors in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend Clients
  • Working with Associate Directors and Directors to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects
  • Identifying opportunities to improve cost monitoring procedures, templates and products, referring ideas to the appropriate

Line Manager Internal management accountabilities, to include:

  • Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared
